Andrew Horowitz

Andrew is a Partner in the law firm of Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel LLP. He is an experienced litigator, with an emphasis on employment law and business litigation. He has represented parties ranging from individuals to small businesses to the largest of corporations—so he feels your pain regardless of which side you’re on. Andrew has successfully tried cases to verdict for those clients where settlement was not satisfactory.

As a litigator, Andrew learned that litigation is not an optimal means to resolve disputes. It is expensive and time-consuming. Litigation tends to make parties more dug-in to their positions, rather than to achieve their goals.  Parties are often better off when willing to settle their disputes informally. It happens much faster with far less resources and aggravation expended. It is confidential. Everyone moves on with their lives. Andrew became a mediator to help parties to achieve the benefits of settlement in difficult cases.

Andrew has completed his basic mediation training course offered by the Alternative Group in Pittsburgh, PA. He is approved as a mediator by the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and serves on the mediator panel of the Pittsburgh office of the U.S. EEOC.

Andrew is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut.
